This spring, Greenano's CMO, had the pleasure to attend the annual Salmon Leave Home event at the Hoy/Scott Watershed Society in Coquitlam, BC. During the event, juvenile Chum salmon was released into the creek, marking the new page in their life cycle as they begin their journey toward the ocean.

These young salmon were hatched, incubated, and raised at the Hoy/Scott Hatchery as a part of their continued commitment to salmon conservation and education. After the release, the fry will begin their migration downstream, eventually reaching the ocean where they will mature and return to spawn years later.

Open Door For New Development

Greenano Solutions is proud to collaborate with the hatchery by implementing our nanobubble technology into their operations. Our system improves water oxygenation, reducing mortality rates and promoting stronger growth without the use of chemicals. By increasing dissolved oxygen levels, our goal is to support more resilient and vibrant salmon populations.

During the event, we also spoke with Kyle Uno, President of the Hoy/Scott Watershed Society, and Tyler Storgaard, Vice President, about potential plans for the hatchery’s future operations. These discussions opened the door to further collaboration on improving hatchery conditions through sustainable, science-based nanobubble technology.

Events like Salmon Leave Home remind us of the importance of community-led conservation and the role technology can play in supporting environmental health. We’re honored to contribute to this mission and look forward to continuing our partnership with Hoy/Scott Hatchery.
